I can't quite make out the brand on these, but if you show this video to your local drum dealer, I'm sure he/she could accomodate you.

Re: BigMo's Rankings through July 3, 2013

I would expect to see some big changes in next week's rankings. Some corps are starting to make their move.

Re: Meanwhile, IN Toledo...

The Scouts are the real deal this year. Great show with tons of potential. They are a dark horse spoiler IMHO. My prediction? Fifth place. You read it here first. Cadets have a solid concept with some nice music and an insane battery. They have an outside shot of winning if they clean clean clean an...

Re: 2011-2012 Comparison

My suspicion is that it is the writing and show concept , because I don't detect a talent dropoff with the members. They really depend on the electronics to hold the show together (15 minutes of fame). I don't think the show would hold together without electronics. You've hit the nail on the head. ...

Nope, that thought never crossed my mind, Marianne. I didn't consider anything you said as a complaint.

Re: Jersey Surf 2012

Surf is selling them for use with the program for a buck. You get some coupons for souvies when you buy them as well. I think it's a great idea, but they'll be some curmudgeons that will complain about them. :^^:

For me some pleasant surprises are the Boston Crusaders bustin' out some Pines of Rome and the Madison Scouts are simply wonderful. I love both shows.

Re: Surprises?

probably true. but the whole absence of drum caption scores is real bull. We have visual analysis, visual effect, and of course that bin of objectivity, visual proficiency, taking up the majority of what makes up the scoring. Heck, lets just do away with field drums and just have a big pit percussi...

Re: Surprises?

Its a real dis-service for Crown and the other corps to be missing feedback from a drum judge. It actually hurts the weaker lines more in my opinion - those in the greatest need for feedback and change. Crown has had a battery problem for a number of years now. If this keeps them from a championshi...

Re: BigMo's Rankings - Thru June 23rd

Hard to believe the Cavaliers placement. They'll get it together, but I predict a best case placement of fifth and a worst case placement of eighth. I'm thinking sixth when the dust settles. The vehicle they chose this year is not working. Hey, it happens! No biggie!

The drum judge is going to have a field day with Crown. It's still their Achilles heel.
