Last night bands from around the country were pla...

Re: cavaliers

[ However, it does make a difference that we had horns with one piston and a rotor combination. Now, they have those 3 valve horns. LOL :D what are piston/rotor horns? I auditioned and marched a few days with a two-valve horn. Then we got the three valves...wow, what a difference they made.

ANYWAY, I think the no retreat thing is actually better. Better only for the drivers and the corps members. This will allow the drivers better time to use their awake/alert levels and give the corps more chance for possible sleep. As I was in a meeting with drivers not long ago, it came to light tha...

I didn't get the chance to go to the last camp, but I was there for the January camp and all I have to say is WOW. It amazes me how talented the group of kids today are. I say this every year, If I were to try to audition now, the brass staff would LAUGH at me and tell me thanks for the joke. Sauced...

I voted for the VK Sex Cymbols. They were always fun to watch. VK sure knew how to showcase their women. I guess they wouldn't be very pc now with all the lawsuits and such...lol Throughout the '92 summer, I didn't care for BDs "When a Man Loves a Woman", but after watching it on PBS/VHS (then) I wa...

I agree with Bluestarcontra. Woodwinds in a drum corps activity, including Shockwave is looked down upon. but to answer the o/p question: Yes, at the time Mason and Cook were the target of the 'villian' messages. They took Star to a new high that at the time, people weren't ready yet. It was only af...

I really enjoyed Glassmen show this past year. It was truely an awesome show...how many other corps can have a soloist entertain you during an entire song?
