With our new baby here, I have been looking for ways to divest the superfluous junk from our home and it dawned on me that with satellite and internet radio, I haven’t placed a CD in my stereo for nearly 2 years. After I did some investigation, I decided that rather than have my music collection continue to collect dust, I would see if I could raise some cash and provide great music to some folks at a good price.
Among the inventory you will find several albums that drum corps fans would enjoy. Among them:
Stan Kenton Orchestra:
Cuban Fire (BD various years including 1992, Florida Wave 89, etc)
Adventures in Time (Suncoast 86, BD 91 and 95)
Rhapsody in Blue (Great studio recordings of Malaga and Malaguena)
Don Ellis Orchestra
Electric Bath (including Indian Lady, 27th Lancers 84)
and 3 or 4 other albums
My Spanish Heart (BD various years including 1994)
Woody Herman Orchestra
Giant Steps (including La Fiesta BD 1984)
Others include Robb McConnell’s Boss Brass playing T.O. (BD 1982-83), Louis Bellson Big Band playing Santos (Madison’s opener in 1994) and many others.
Among the symphonic works are many such as the Rutter Gloria (Cavs 89) Respighi’s Church Windows (Cavs 94, SCV 07) and Belkis (Cavs 94), Walton’s Belshazzar’s Feast (Star 1990) and Symphony No. 1 (Freelancers 1992) and too many others to list.
Most of the jazz titles are listed on Half.com (an affiliate of eBay) and Amazon.com but the vast majority of the symphonic titles are only listed on Amazon.
As an aside, I would suggest Half.com over Amazon as their shipping charges prove to be more economical.
