<yawn>

MLB is a joke. With a $200 million payroll, they should win every year. The fact that they don't shows epic failure on their part. The only thing I am upset about is that the series schedule caused the NFL to suspend it's Sunday night game for a week. It probably would have drawn a larger audience.

Using that philosophy, why not analyze the talent & declare one team the winner. Taking it one step further, lets do that with all sports....................Bill

I don't follow the logic. It's not about talent; it is about the ability to pay for talent. Exorbitant amounts of $$ even based on the scale of professional athletics. This competitive imbalance is something the NFL has avoided up until now with the salary cap. Even dynasties in DCI are the result of (mostly) reputation and recruitment (members and staff). While there is a competitive imbalance, it is the result of these factors rather than simply writing a check. And in an activity like DCI, there are many ways to achieve success without winning it all. Just ask 2007 Blue Stars or 2009 Troopers. In professional sports, championships are all that count. Very little drama (or interest outside of the pinstriped fan base) for yet another Yankees win.

OK, I stand corrected, we examine the bankbook of each team. Whoever has the largest one wins. In DCI, they could go a long way toward evening things out if they wanted to........................ Bill
