Nancy Reagan, widow of former President Ronald Reagan has been taken to the hospital with a broken pelvis. Please keep her in your prayers. And for those of you who don't pray, please keep her in your thoughts. Thanks.

I'll do both.

Just saw an interesting segment about this on MSNBC. Apparently she suffered a fall during the evening and went quite some time before alerting anybody and going for medical care - all of which led the reporters to conclude this was a relatively hairline thing. If it was a bad break, she would have been in too much pain to wait that long for care.

Brian Williams was one of the reporters involved. He was with Mrs. Reagan recently and spoke about how sharp she is mentally, even though her gait is getting slower. According to him, she's still quite a pistol, and he used that as a term of endearment.

This is one area where medical technology has been a huge benefit. Years ago, this injury would be an invitation to pneumonia and a quick death.
