Madison Scouts Announce 2014 Program

Post by Jim Anello » Fri Oct 25, 2013 5:46 pm

On Facebook today, Madison announced that their 2014 program will feature the music of Stan Kenton and Don Ellis. Malaga? Malaguena? Strawberry Soup? Something else entirely? Can't wait!!

As mentioned on DCP, maybe other Kenton and Ellis charts would be nice.

Awesome!! I hope they can get their visual scores higher. I think if they can tweak their percussion, visual, and keep the brass high, they might have a chance of top 5. It's going to be tough....a lot of great corps out there!

I think the best show would be if they did all three

From a FB post about the January camp:

The Scouts wrapped up their January camp this afternoon, putting together more than half of the show musically and pushing themselves through some challenging visual blocks. In ensemble, the corps played through the opener "Fanfare for the New", the "Fugue" (from Passacaglia and Fugue), and "Concerto to End All Concertos" to complete the Kenton portion of the show.
