Thanks for posting!

It seems weird to see Boston not in the Top 12 but I don't think this is out of the question this year. I bet they will get their act together and will make Finals, but I think it is going to be close. I keep hearing great things about The Academy this year so while I don't see them finishing as high as 9th as they are in your current standings, they just might make Finals for the first time in their history which would be huge for them I think. When they moved up to World Class there was so much hype about them being the next big thing, and as many corps do after a couple years in World Class, they fall back and there is less interest in them. While I don't want to see anyone fall out of Finals, I'd love to see them at the Saturday night performance.

I'd also be surprised to see Troopers as low as they sit in your standings too when all is said and done. I've heard some folks comment that the Top 12 is already set, but I just don't see this quite yet.

It's clearly going to be a very tight race for top 12 this year....as much as I know it will rub someone the wrong way..
The top 8 are pretty much a slam dunk..
(random)
Bluecoats
Blue Devils
Crown
Cadets
Vanguard
Cavaliers
Phantom
BlueKnights

4 places for the following corps: Crossmen, Blue Stars, Madison, and Boston are probably the 4... but it would be great to see Trooper, Academy and Mandarins break in.
Crossmen
Blue Stars
Madison Scouts
Boston Crusaders
Colts
Academy
Spirit
Trooper
Mandarins
Scades
Pacific Crest

I think you are correct on the 8 you listed as definitely in. I'd add Blue Stars and Madison to that list too. Based on recent score spreads between those two and the corps behind them, I think they are locked in for Finals.

The last two spots are still TBD in my opinion. I think Crossmen and Boston will likely get in, but the Troopers and Academy will sure put up a fight!

I have to say this is one year I am really looking forward to Atlanta.... trying to get a lot of my High School Band mates down to Atlanta for the show. Running out of time to get seats.. but trying to get them to make the 3 hour drive.
