Congratulations to all drum corps this season. So many great performances. I think this is the first year in a while that I can say I will have to buy the dvd. I was rooting for Crown but in my opinion any of the top 5 shows were worthy of the title. I don’t think I would want to be on the judging panel to have to choose between such great performances. Great job by all.

I really enjoyed the season and loved many of the shows. There were only a couple that just don't make me want to watch them again.

I will say I was pretty disappointed and floored with the results. I just don't see how BD won it this year on many levels. To their members, congrats! But damn, how was that 1st place?? The guard had many drops (4 on the ladder exchange), the kpop dance section was uncomfortable and easy, and the story telling by many of the members took them away from doing any technical work for way too long IMO.

Had I been a judge, it would have looked like this (World Class corps only):
1. Crown - I mean seriously, top to bottom amazing. This show will go down as one of the best IMO - from the guard, the design, the drill, theme....I could go on and on. I really have no idea how this show did not win easily.
2. Bluecoats
3. The Cadets
4. Blue Devils
5. SCV (very close to BD) - love that soloist!!
6. Blue Knights - this show really grew on me
7. Madison Scouts
8. The Cavaliers
9. Phantom Regiment
10. Blue Stars
11. Boston Crusaders
12. Colts

13. The Academy
14. Crossmen
15. Mandarins
16. Troopers
17. Spirit of Atlanta
18. Oregon Crusaders
19. Pacific Crest
20. Cascades
21. Jersey Surf
22. Pioneer

I watched the Blue Devils show on Youtube and I agree its kinda hard to figure out, except I heard that Crown didn't have their best show at finals.

For me, I miss the days when difficult drill counted for more. I thought brass and percussion were close this year among all of the top corps.

Still- congrats to Blue Devils - they won.

I wonder if the hornline not moving for about 30 seconds while under that big red thing hurt them. It was a nice part of the show but it seems like no hornline these days stays still for more that 5 seconds at a time. Even while standing still they are doing some sort of body movement.
that horn line was fantastic!

I can't imagine that hurting their score - it was a fantastic GE moment. I felt sooo bad for the soloist on Finals night as his mic didn't work. Such a great performer and wonderful music moment, you hate to see that happen.
