King Vs Yamaha

Post by Marching Mallets » Fri Feb 16, 2007 10:46 am

Hey there everyone!

Can anyone shed some light on the performance, durability and sound quality from KING euphoniums.

I know the Yamaha Euph puts out a nice balanced sound, but what about the King Euphs as well.

Also, from your own experience, if you were buying a new set of 50 horns, Who would you go with.

King or Yamaha? Please feel free to list any good or bad issues!

Thanks!!!

hmmm... nobody has hit this one. I would suggest taking a look at the DIV 1 corps brands being used right now. Chances are that most of the DIV 1 corps have investigated brands and the popular choice will be your best bet.

I'm guessing it will be Yamaha.

It may be Yamaha, but King still isn't a bad choice.

no doubt...

The comparison is between two highly-puchased brands.

If the comparison was with DEG, Kanstul... and the given... then there might be more of a debate... ?

I played on DEGs in junior corps and wasn't always happy with them. I got to play around on a King a friend in the Blue Devils played on and liked playing on that euph more than the DEG I played on.
