2016 DCI World Class Drumlines

OK - thought I'd stir up the dust here in the pit and battery roundtable. I have only seen drumline videos online via facebook and youtube links but I do have some observations and opinions;

lots of hardwork over the winter and spring time and it shows- many drumlines sound very good for so early in the season. I like Cadets and Santa Clara at the top with Bluecoats and Carolina Crown close behind. ( I have no idea how judges are scoring thus far a week or so into the season.)

Interestingly, I haven't been impressed with what I have seen/heard from Blue Devils. There is some nice video of Madison Scouts Cymbal line. They are pretty much perfect and doing everything they can to contribute. Crossmen have a lot of work ahead of them as far as snare line.

Bluestars have some nice writing.

My comments are only about field drums and not percussion pit. I haven't heard entire ensembles yet other than the stuff I get from Cadets for being a Maroon and Gold Club member.
